I didn’t care much for weddings but had taken a job working banquets at a local hotel in the Pacific Northwest. About three weeks in, we had a wedding reception booked. As I was standing against the back wall, trying to blend in and looking for glasses of champagne to refill as the toasts began, the father of the bride delivered the most eloquent speech about the love & joy his daughter had found – perfect happiness he called it – but that it was the little imperfections that made their love unique and perfect. I was sold. Suddenly I found myself crying and clapping, awkwardly having forgotten I was a server and not a guest. It was at that moment I knew I would always work in this industry.

After seven years in the industry, his speech has stuck with me. It was the catalyst to the vision for Bespoke Bride – a bridal store built on the idea that it is each couples’ unique essence and the journey that makes their love beautiful, and celebrating that uniqueness is what creates that perfect happiness. Our job at Bespoke Bride, from the moment a bride walks through the door, is to design and deliver the wedding experience that does just that.
