Tumalo Mountian

Tumalo Mountian is located near Bend, Oregon, and makes for a stunning Elopement Location. To access the Tumalo Mountian trailhead it is best to park at the Dutchman Flat Sno Park. From the Dutchman parking lot, the hike is less than one hour to the top.

Time of Day

The best time of day for photos (on a clear day) is just before Sunrise or at Sunset. For this particular shot, we started 1.5 hours before sunrise. We reached the top about 30 minutes before the sun started to peek out of the horizon. My favorite time for photos is about 15 minutes before the sun shows itself the sky lights up and the mountains begin to glow.

Time of Year

You can hike Tumalo Mountian year-round. From late fall to the beginning of June you will most likely be walking through snow.
