        July Engagement Session

Recently, I had an incredible time photographing a couple at a stunning location called Green Lakes Elopement. The crystal clear lakes, majestic trees, and serene atmosphere made it an ideal elopement location.

As I walked around the area, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the natural beauty. The greenery was so rich and vivid, and the colors of the lakes were simply breathtaking. I felt truly inspired as a photographer and knew I had found the perfect spot to capture some truly stunning images.

The experience of being in such a magnificent location was truly unforgettable. I felt so peaceful and content, surrounded by all of the natural beauty that surrounded me. It was a reminder that sometimes, the best things in life are the simplest ones – a stunning landscape, a peaceful atmosphere, and the chance to capture it all through photography.

Overall, my time spent at Green Lakes Elopement was truly magical. As a photographer, it was an incredible experience to be able to capture the natural beauty of such a breathtaking location. I look forward to returning again soon and exploring even more of the natural wonders that this area has to offer.

        Time of Year

The Green Lakes Trail is only accessible from late June until late October. You’ll have the best time in mid-July until the end of October. In July you will still see some snow in the mountains. August will be the warmest month if you want to jump in the lake. September will start to get a little cooler and you may see some snow or frost on the hike. October will certainly be wintery.

        Time of Day

I recommend arriving at the lake by 4 pm to relax a little and start photographing around 5 pm before the sun rests on the mountain. The hike is an easy 4 miles each way and took us about 2 hours to walk so we left at 2 pm. It does require a day permit from Recreation.gov and a 5$ parking permit.
